Tanweer Optical Company (TOC) has been a family-run business for the past 70 years, starting its exceptional journey from East Pakistan when it was established by Mr. Syed Ahmed. His extensive experience in providing outstanding optical services allowed him to expand to 4 branches in East Pakistan which were under the name of his son; Mr. Tanweer Ahmed. 

In 1972, he migrated to Islamabad when Melody Market became the home of the newly founded flagship store. This resulted in TOC becoming the first operational optical company in the Capital. TOC was the pioneer in bringing a breakthrough development in the eye-care industry, introducing the contact lenses in 1979 for the first time ever in Pakistan. 

In 1981, Mr. Tanweer joined the family business after which he completed his higher education from University of London Union. He returned in 1993 and committed his efforts to providing unmatched optical services to his customers. With the increasing demand, TOC continuously invested in expanding its business in the twin cities, to cater to the needs of its customers. Currently, it has 5 branches. 

TOC has achieved a great deal of success due to its unsurpassed quality of products and services, winning multiple awards, including a lifetime achievement award by the Rawalpindi Association of Opticians.
